Senior IT Project Manager

The Information Technology Project Manager will plan, establish, and manage information technology (IT) projects and will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects. Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to the budget, schedule, and scope of the project.
• Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
• Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
• Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
• Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Project management experience, preferably with large, complex automation implementation efforts (Required, 8 years of experience)
• Demonstrated Project Management experience on system deployments with multiple clients (Required, 8 years of experience)
• Proven track record of delivering projects and work streams with aggressive timelines and delivering within scope, budget, and schedule (Required, 8 years of experience)
• Objective decision-making ability based on strategic objectives priority, business
• performance analysis, and resource availability (Required, 8 years of experience)
• Knowledge of Change Management and Training Rollout Required
• Hands-on experience controlling, project scope, schedule, project risk, cost, quality, testing, and communications (Required, 7 years of experience)
• Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills (Required, 3 Years of experience)
• Demonstrated oral and written communication and presentation skills (Required, 3 years of experience)
• Solid work experience with project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project) (Required, 7 years of experience)
• Experience with MS Office, SharePoint, Teams and Zoom.. (Required, 7 years of experience)
• Demonstrated experience with both Waterfall and Agile Projects (Required, 5 years of experience)
• Demonstrated experience with vendor management on a large IT project/system implementation (Required, 8 years of experience)
• Demonstrate technical architecture/infrastructure knowledge and experience, including experience with multiple hardware platforms and operating systems (Required, 8 years of experience)
• Demonstrate technical knowledge and analysis skills with hands-on experience in development, database design, and web-based technologies (Required, 8 years of experience)
• Organizational intelligence and strong influence management/cross-functional leadership skills; adept at working in a matrix structure (Required)
• Business Knowledge of Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Services for the Blind (Highly desired, 5 Years of experience)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (Required)
• Experience in the healthcare industry (Highly desired, 5 years of experience)
• Extensive understanding of SharePoint end-user experience, sites, libraries, lists, and groups (Highly desired, 3 Years of experience)
• Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for a software development/maintenance team that was diligently applying Agile / Kanban values (Required, 3 years of experience)
• Experience working with the state of NC or other States or the Federal Government (Highly desired, 5 Years of experience)
• Ability to help manage Scrum team backlog and/or Kanban Flow, and priorities using agile-based tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Version One, etc.) (Highly desired)
